Heading from the landing strip, towards the camp site situated on
the left side of the large pool in the Luangwa, the start of the
Luangwa gorge appears downriver.

Circling above the camp and looking back towards the landing
strip, the broad Luangwa valley stretches to the north and east.
The camp buildings are just visible in the shadows of the huge
riperia trees at the top right of the picture.

Dropping down to almost river height in front of the camp.

Flying back upriver in front of the camp.
A big bull Elephant is just visible on the far bank, above the
wing on the left of the picture!

Everything is going brick! The new chalets which have replaced
the wooden pole buildings.
|
new brick kitchen.

New 'Chitenge' - dining & congregation area, under construction.

Heading on downriver into the Luangwa gorge. Looking down
towards the start of the Zambezi valley.
|
Heading back out of the gorge towards the campsite!
The dramatic exit from the gorge towards the flat Luangwa
plain up river.

Clearing the runway by buzzing the strip to clear the herds of
Impala.
